Tampa, FLA. - Easter is almost here! Some will visit their local churches, while others host family brunches gifting their little ones Easter baskets with sweet treats. And don’t forget about the epic Easter egg hunts! Young-ins excitedly line up to find every hidden egg. Are they filled with money? Candy? Toys? Regardless, they’re determined to prevail. While it’s all fun and games (literally), the last thing you want on your hands is a liability. Kids get rough, we get it! Especially when there’s a prize involved.
Follow these steps to ensure safety is the #1 priority at your next Easter egg hunt:
Choose safe hiding locations: Yes, we like to make it challenging for our children who already outsmart us 20 times a day. BUT, in this case it’s best to be “strategically smart and safe.”
Assign chaperones: This should be easy, just choose a few of the parents you invited over.
What’s inside the egg?: Be mindful of food allergies and choking hazards when choosing contents for each egg.
We can always encourage safety but if there are any injuries that took place on your property your homeowners policy should cover any medical expenses. And always remember, these are just precautions. Who’s to say you can’t have a fun Easter while also being safe?
